Maximize your presence at the AALAS National Meeting and inform AALAS meeting attendees that you support the organization and its goals. The generous contribution of sponsors towards the meeting helps improve the quality of the meeting experience for all attendees. Contact advertising@aalas.org for more information. Technical Trade Presentations Sponsorship Levels President’s Sponsor. $10,000 contribution. Gold Level Sponsor. $5,000 contribution. Silver Level Sponsor. $2,500 contribution. Bronze Level Sponsor. $1,000 contribution. Sponsorship Items and Events AREA Program. Submit 1 question for the scavenger hunt exam and provide promotional items (less than $5 value) at your booth for up to 150 students and teachers. Short demonstrations of products and services are also encouraged. AREA Program form Badge Holder Neck Cord. Have your company name and/or logo on the neck cords given to all attendees. The neck cord sponsor will automatically receive all the benefits of a Gold level sponsor described above. Cost: $10,000. Cyber Cafe. Attendees constantly access the bank of six computers in the CyberCafe in the exhibit hall to check their email or access the Internet. Computers will be available to all attendees during exhibit hall hours. AALAS determines the location of the cyber café and the sponsor’s booth will be located adjacent to the Cyber Cafe. Promote your company by advertising with a screen saver or desktop wallpaper designed by your company. File must be provided on a disk and sent to the AALAS office by September 1. All computers will use Windows-based operating systems. Cost: $7,000. File is provided by the sponsor and AALAS will be responsible for installing on the computer. Hotel Room Key Cards. Have your company name and/or logo on the room key cards for the National Meeting attendees registered at hotels in our housing block through the housing bureau. Cost: $10,000. The hotel room key sponsor will automatically receive Gold level sponsor status. Morning and Afternoon Refreshment Breaks. On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, attendees will be treated to coffee breaks in the exhibit hall. Cost: $2,000 per break for the sponsorship or $3,500 for the sponsorship and travel cups/mugs or sports water bottle with the sponsor’s logo. Note Pads. Have your company name and/or logo printed on 8.5 x 11-in. note pads given to all attendees. One color imprint. Cost: $2,500. Seminar/Special Event. Be listed in the Preliminary Program and Final Program as the sponsor for one of our seminars or other sessions. The sponsor must be an affiliate member organization, commercial member company or professional development organization officially affiliated with AALAS (e.g., AAALAC International, ACLAD, ACLAM, AMP, ATA, LAMA, SCAW, Harlan, Charles River, Lab Products, Allentown, CTAD, CRB, ILAM, etc.). Exceptions may be made in special circumstances considered on a case-by-case ad hoc basis by the National Meeting Program Committee. To be a full sponsor of a session, the sponsor must intellectually develop the presentation topic and have it accepted on the program as a seminar, special topics lecture, roundtable or workshop. Abstracts do not qualify for sponsorship. Sponsoring organizations must assume responsibility for all associated speaker and other reasonable expenses (if any) for the program event with the possible exception of requesting AALAS may waive registration for speakers that are not AALAS members or commercial exhibitors. The sponsor will be recognized as being the sponsor in the preliminary and final programs; on the signage outside the meeting room stating they were the Full Sponsor of this session; on the signage with the overall meeting sponsors as full session sponsors. To be a partial sponsor of a session, the sponsor must either contribute specific items, such as facility space, equipment or animals; a set sponsor fee (paid to AALAS) toward the session with the knowledge that the session expenses would be more and the session leader would recommend to the program committee how the funds would be distributed; or a speaker on just a portion of a session where they provide all the funding for that person. Organizations providing some modicum of financial support or some intellectual contributions will be acknowledged in the preliminary and final programs as partial sponsors of the session. Speakers and session moderators can elaborate upon the intellectual or financial support of organizations or individuals more specifically at appropriate times during applicable sessions. Call the national office to check available events. Technician Fun Fair. Submit 2 questions for the Tech Fair exam, provide promotional items (less than $5 value) at your booth for up to 250 technicians, and provide larger prizes ($20–$50 value) for winning technicians. Technician Fun Fair form Technician Lunch & Learn. The Technician Lunch & Learn brings laboratory animal technicians together to enjoy fellowship, a complimentary lunch, and an informative educational session specifically targeting technicians. Sponsorship covers the cost of providing lunches and door prizes. Cost: $4,000. Tote Bag. Convention attendees appreciate an attractive tote bag to carry the program and all the wonderful information and goodies collected in the exhibit hall. Your company logo can be printed on the tote bag as one of the sponsors of this attractive gift to the attendees. Up to four sponsors may be included on the bag. Cost: $4,000 per sponsorship.
