AALAS National Meeting

Each fall since 1950, the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science has held its annual National Meeting. During the five days of the meeting, members and nonmembers come together to enjoy the workshops, lectures, poster sessions, and exhibits. The program is designed to have topics relevant to the entire membership. Exhibitors have an opportunity to interact with AALAS members from the academic community, research institutions, government organizations, and commercial companies. The AALAS National Meeting is the largest gathering in the world of professionals concerned with the production, care, and use of laboratory animals.

The 2023 AALAS National Meeting Final Program can be found here, and the Preliminary Program can be found here.

2023 RACE CE Information

National Meeting attendees can download this form to track their CE activities from sessions attended and create their own certificate of attendance. The form will be appropriate for use with the Technician Registry, CMAR, ACLAM, and your state veterinary boards for veterinary and veterinary technician license renewal.

Because each state varies, attendees should verify with their own state's veterinary board for any special requirements on CE and record-keeping.

In your CE records file, please keep a copy of your National Meeting registration confirmation in case you are chosen for an audit by your state veterinary board. Audits typically request records from one to several years prior.

This program has been approved for 206.25 hours of continuing education credit in jurisdictions that recognize RACE approval.

Veterinarians and Veterinarian Technicians will submit (via a link AALAS will provide after the AALAS NM) their License Number and State Licensed and AALAS will upload credits to CE Broker. CE Broker links to your RACEtrack account to record and track continuing education. Attendees would receive up to 36.25 CEU credit hours depending on what sessions they attended.
